My Path to Sexology

I originally come from computer science. After studying at ETH Zurich and working in software development for several years, I made a conscious decision to change direction. Personal changes, like becoming a mother, also influenced this process.

Sexuality, the body and relationships have fascinated me for a long time. I've always enjoyed talking with others about these topics and have seen how layered and individual they are.

At the same time, I realised that tech wasn't going to fulfil me in the long run. I wanted to work with people and engage with topics closer to lived experience.

Analytical thinking, precision and structure still accompany me today. Now combined with genuine curiosity for the people who come to see me and work that involves the body, lived experience and interpersonal processes.

My Master's programme at ISP Zurich and the University of Merseburg is well advanced. Six of seven semesters are completed, all coursework finished. The Master's thesis is still outstanding.

My Own Experience

I know the therapeutic process from my own experience too. I've completed 12 hours of sex therapy and 10 hours of couples therapy myself, along with over 40 hours of body-oriented self-experience work, including breathwork, Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing. These experiences shape my approach. I know how much courage it takes to open up, and how powerful therapeutic support can be when it's the right fit.

I'm in ongoing supervision and intervision to continuously reflect on and ensure the quality of my work.

My Values

Sexuality is part of the human experience, including in forms that don't match societal norms. My practice is a space for all facets of sexuality and relationships. I meet people without judgment and with genuine curiosity about their experience.

Every person brings their own story, body and experiences. My role is to create a space where all of that has room. Change is possible — not as a prescribed goal, but where it feels right.

I work with people of all genders, orientations and relationship structures, as well as with people from the BDSM and kink community. These topics are part of my professional focus.
